Matches

The Society organises an extensive programme of competitions throughout the season, open to both full and associate members. The matches are fished in a relaxed, friendly atmosphere and no matter how little experience you have as an angler, you can be sure of a warm welcome and plenty of hints on how to improve your fishing technique.

Just turn up on the day at the time indicated in the fixture list on your membership card. You may obtain a list of the matches planned for the coming season by clicking on Events. The Society issues a Bulletin which contains all the latest news about the Society, fishery reports and match results. This is issued free to members in the Autumn and Spring.

The Society organises the Civil Service National Angling Championship Match which is normally held in September. It is noted for its long prize list.
