Welcome to the Civil Service Angling Society Home Page
Thank you for visiting the Civil
Service Angling Society web site. The following pages will give you some insight
to what the Society is about, available fisheries, membership costs, how to join
and contact numbers should you have any queries.
The CSAS owns or rents a variety of fisheries
around London and the Home Counties. These fisheries cater for all types of angling whether specimen hunting, match angling, pleasure fishing or
fly fishing and all are regularly maintained to provide easy access and relatively
snag free swims. Details of the fisheries can be obtained by clicking on Fisheries
Full membership is open to Civil Servants, whether serving or retired on pension,
i.e. anyone who is an employee in a government department or agency, Royal Mail,
BT, and other public bodies such as museums, research councils and Environment
Agency, companies carrying out ex-civil service work and any other bodies affiliated to
CSSC Sports and Leisure. There are a limited number of places for associate
membership for those who are not eligible for full membership (at times there
may be a waiting list). Full and associate members may also obtain membership for their
spouse, whether or not he or she is eligible for full membership. Junior
Facility Tickets are available for dependant children (between 11 and 18 years
of age, providing they are in full time education) of full and associate
members. The sponsoring member must accompany such children on all visits to
Society waters. Further membership joining details can be obtained by clicking
on Joining.
